About The Artist

Murphy O. Dasari (any pronouns) is a queer illustrator, writer and musician from São Paulo, Brazil. Currently an English: Creative Writing major and Media and Communications minor at Drew University.

With experience in various mediums (digital art, traditional drawing, watercolor, photography, sculpting, writing, music...), their art often includes themes of fantasy and depictions of the human figure.

They created Modern Muses as an archive for their personal art and favorite pieces of media.

Djavan

Djavan is a Brazilian artist who is known for his fantastical control over the Portuguese language. He is a powerful wordsmith who creates lyrics which are sometimes mistaken for "nonsense" because they take so much effort to understand.

Although he is often grouped with MPB artist of his time period, he was extremely versatile when it comes to genre. His music braved the unknown spectrums between samba, bossa nova, jazz and blues.
